The weather was beautiful this weekend and I was finally able to drive home and give the GTI a nice exterior detail. Kept it relatively simple - used Adams Ultra Foam wash in my foam cannon, Adams Wheels Cleaner (great stuff), and topped off with H20 Guard & Gloss.
I plan on doing a full paint correction and spring detail in a couple weeks, but was a bit low on time this weekend. Also, washed my parents cars while I was home, a 2018 Accord Touring & Jeep Cherokee.
Today I got a chance to swap my winter wheels off for my summer, stock wheels at my buddy’s shop. So nice to have a quick jack available , made swapping very quick. Time to go drive and enjoy not being stuck on winter tires!
Hope y’all had a great weekend. Xpel Stealth Wrapped Golf R for your time :D

I like the Adam’s H2O Guard and Gloss, works great on red and black cars. On red cars it leaves a waxed look and not black cars it’s non smearing.
It's slightly finicky to apply in you use a damp cloth to wipe of and a dry one to buff off.

Very true. I like it for the ease of use, can dry the car and apply at the same time. Definitely can be finicky, though. Thinking after I do a correction on the paint I might go for a ceramic coating but we’ll see.

Just re-read my reply. Autocorrect changed some of the words. Doh.
There are so many good coatings out. Adam's just released a spray on coating, applied like a sealant.

Indeed, so hard to pick one. That Adams would be a good start, I was looking at Grechniq EXO if I go the true coating route. Decisions decisions.

As a Gtechniq user for ten years. If you go the Gtechniq EXO route, do Gtechniq C1+ first as a base then top with EXO or Crystal Serum Lite. The C1+ offers a degree of scratch resistance, is more chemically protected from acid and alkali damage and offers 5 years+ protection, EXO offers more sheeting and beading hydrophobic protection.

Thanks for the advice!

No worries.
c1+ is still very much the benchmark for ceramic coatings.
EXOv2 is easier to apply than it’s initial iteration. But the likes of Crystal Serum keep making small leaps better each few months/year.
I've sworn by Gtechniq for years and have sent samples around the world for people to try at my expense because I stand by, use them once, you'll love them.
